Contract: Permanent, 36 hours per week

About the role…
The Catering Team Member will be responsible for providing catering support in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and drinks, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. The Catering Team Member will also be responsible for cleaning the kitchen and dining areas. As part of the role, the Catering Team Member will cover duties for the Senior Catering Team Member and other kitchen staff as required.
Preparing and serving food in line with the weekly menu and carry out basic cooking when required.
Ensuring tea trolleys are stocked with varied items, including baking cakes and biscuits
Preparing vegetables in line with the menu, ensuring that it is done in a timely manner
Create new seasonal menus and establish portion sizes, to ensure consistency and to reduce waste
Maintaining high levels of record keeping in line with procedures and legal requirements
Completing daily and weekly paperwork.
Ensuring that stock checks are accurate and completed in a timely manner, in line with the weekly menus
Ensuring all food is kept in the correct environment at the right temperature, and is used within the relevant dates
Ensuring that all incoming deliveries are received as planned and placed away in the designated areas, in a timely manner.
About You
- Previous experience in a catering role.
- Food Safety Level 2 (Willingness to complete Level 3 and relevant QCF training)
- A passion for the care industry
