Job Title: Catering Team Member

Location: Pembroke

Contract: Permanent, 33 hours per week

Hours of work: 5 days per week – shifts worked between the hours between 7:30am and 6:30pm.

Employment is subject to at least two satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS.

Applicants should be 18 years or over.

About the role…

The Catering Team Member will be responsible for providing catering support in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and drinks, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. The Catering Team Member will also be responsible for cleaning the kitchen and dining areas. As part of the role, the Catering Team Member will cover duties for the Senior Catering Team Member and other kitchen staff as required. Duties include:

Preparing and serving food in line with the weekly menu and carry out basic cooking when required.

​Assisting with plating up meals, ensuring a high standard and consistency.

Preparing breakfast in accordance with the individual residents’ choice.

​Preparing supper as directed by the Senior Catering Team Member.

​Preparing tea trolleys with a selection of drinks and cakes.

​Ensuring that cleaning duties are carried out in accordance with the cleaning schedule to always provide a clean and hygienic environment.

Assisting with the recording, monitoring and checking of all fridges, freezers and hot cupboards in accordance with legal requirements.

Assisting with checking all incoming deliveries
concerning the kitchen, as directed by the Senior Catering Team Member when
required

About You

  • Previous experience in a catering role. ​
  • Willingness to complete Food Safety Level 2 and relevant QCF training)
  • A passion for the care industry
